Fine Motor book
We are learning to go from right to left in our Fine Motor book to help us with our reading and writing. This is a good chance for our little finger muscles to show us how strong they are.
Little finger muscle activities
Here are some more activities that we do to help our 'tweety fingers" get strong and clever for writing:
We thread tiny beads onto fishing line,
we pick up buttons with tweezers,
we hammer little nails into shapes to make a picture and . . .
we squeeze and roll and cut play dough too.
We are having fun while we are making our finger muscles stronger!!
Pegboards
We make pictures on pegboards. This is fun and helps our little fingers to get strong and clever so that we can cut and write easily.
Scaredy squirrel's forest
Aarush made Scaredy squirrel's forest on a pegboard. Can you see scaredy squirrel up in his nut tree?
He also added all the things that scaredy squirrel was scared of like sharks, killer bees and germs.
We are not going to be scared of anything as we learn this year! Learning will be fun and exciting but never scarey!
Scaredy squirrel
We are so excited to be in Room 19 this year! We read a book about scaredy squirrel who was too scared to leave his nut tree.
When he was brave enough to JUMP down from the tree, he suddenly found that he could FLY!
Yes, he was a flying squirrel and he didn't even know it! 😃
